Western Veil Nebula

I intended to capture this or crop this tighter to focus on the Western Veil nebula, but when I saw it with the middle nebulosity area that sits between the Western and Eastern Veils, I decided not to crop this, well not to crop it yet anyway. :) Right now I am enjoying the whole of what was captured in my camera.

Amazing shape and texture and color.
Thanks Ben! I had captured this a couple of years ago, and I was pretty disappointed with what I got. So this one is like a 1000% improvement over that one, I am really happy with it.

Very nice Jim (and Alan, I LOVE your reference to old style 3D glasses! 🤣). This has excellent detail and spot on colors. It is a target rich area of the sky, and one of my very first narrowband images that likely could use a lot more integration and a refresh. Your results here are something to shoot for. Well done!

Thanks so much Mike! I am really happy with it too, so I do appreciate your more experienced eye on this.

My first reaction was similar to Alan’s. Curious about the name of this part of the sky. Very well done.
Thanks Jameel.

There is the Veil Nebula, which is comprised of the Western Veil (this one) and the Easter Veil and and area of random intertwined nebulosity in between them, in which part of that is at the bottom. If you were to look at the whole Veil Nebula it kind of takes on the shape of a ball to me.
