Thanks Jameel. I often wonder if any planet has more photogenic rocks than we have here on Earth! That is very interesting formations. If not for the last image, this could be some other planet.
Thanks Alan. I think Shore Acres is the best place on the entire Pacific coast to capture winter storm action. I am planning another trip in December...I like the misty backdrop. Looks like you had fun with the moonscape out there. I really like how you framed some of these sea sculptures.
One of my favorite places to stop off along that part of the coast. I used to camp at Sunset Bay Campground a lot when I had my RV. I had always heard about the legendary hit surf at that place and got a chance to see it firsthand about 3 years ago. Those waves make it all the way to the edge of the grass and trees in your last shot. I posted a video of a few minutes worth of how these get shaped.
Stegosaurus maybe? That's my guess.I thought you said rocks but then I saw dinosaurs. Lovely all the same.![]()
Thanks Douglas!Nice series, Michaael.
Thanks Jim! I forgot to mention these are all 4-5 image stacks.Wow Michael. I have been there to Shore Acres, but I don't recall seeing these structures at all. I need to start writing down my list of places I need to revisit next year.
As much as I like to pick favorites when there are several images posted, I can't. Each one of these is a winning image in my book.
December is when I got to see the big ones come in. I have been there quite a number of times during winter months but only got to see 30'+ swells once. Thanks Alan. I think Shore Acres is the best place on the entire Pacific coast to capture winter storm action. I am planning another trip in December...
