Thats a lovely image Alan - I'd never heard of this falls till now.

Too bad about that snag in the foreground - I'd estimate at least 50% of all my waterfalls have a similar obstruction with no obvious work around. I appreciate that you left it as-is and didn't clone it out.

Thanks Michael - the falls are pretty easy access on a trail that follows the creek. I like having snags in the scene - and its fun revisiting places like this to see what got moved around since the last visit :)

Elowah Falls before the 2017 fire. The bridge was lost in the blaze.

The presence of the footbridge definitely dates the shot. I have taken a number of shots of this little basin from the air but haven't hiked in since the 2017 fire. Some of the moss has returned but initially this place got scorched down to bare rocks. Have they ever fully reopened the trail to the falls yet?

This is the unnamed cascade between St Mary Falls and Virgina Falls in Glacier. My 16mm lens wasn't wide enough for the scene I wanted, with the mountain in the background. Next time I'll set up to stitch images.

That's a lot of crazy angles to fit into one scene - thankfully the trees offer a vertical reference point for which way is up :) Neat falls.

@AlanLichty - drone or a long telephoto? Very nice shot.

@Michael13 - I like the snag in the image. Gives some context to the falls.

Here is my version of the Willaby Creek Falls. Quinault is so under rated most probably due to its neighbor, the Hoh. There are so many small waterfalls, each worthy of shots in early spring. Late April is a good time to visit.

I would accuse you of using my tripod holes for this shot but there aren't a lot of places to plant one to shoot these falls in the first place.

I was with a group of photographers at the time and had to wait my turn for the holes 😁 I did take one from farther back and lower down at 70mm with a 25 second exposure I posted a few years ago for a Waterfall Wednesday.
