Waterfall Wednesday 9/23/2020

Wednesday is here again so time for another waterfall thread.

I was going to post this image last week when wildfire smoke smothered the west coast as a tribute to the upside of dirty air - a golden filter to enhance fall leaf colors - but I forgot to bring it with me on the road when I drove over to Astoria.

This shot was taken near Florence, Oregon during a much milder episode of wildfire smoke (still an AQI well above 200) on a hike along Sweet Creek. The air was quite unpleasant to breathe but the color show was quite amazing.

Pile on with your own falling water scenes.

From March this year. Deepdale in Cumbria which looks a lot like Scotland although a little smaller in grandeur. I have ignored both of these images until this week. The first one is processed in a very unsubtle manner but leaves you in no doubt about where I want you to look. In the second image, taken about 1 mile further into the valley, I just liked the texture and colours in the water. Ken

Here is one from Avalanche Creek in Glacier
My plans last year included trying to shoot the Avalanche Creek area. Until Covid came along 😒

That is indeed a great light for this scene Alan, and thanks for starting this thread. Kyle love your waterfall.

Here is one of mine:
American Fork River late summer
Nice - you are getting some good waterfall images from that drainage.

Mine is from a month ago on the backpack trip up to Ice Lake. This is about a mile into the hike, I don't know if it has a name, but it's the drainage from Clear Lake. For some reason I am in a B&W mood for my waterfall photos.
Some nice falls indeed.

An un-named waterfall in the Mt Rainier NP
Nice - that's just above Narada Falls - with the bottom of the footbridge across Paradise Creek leading to the viewpoints. I have some unprocessed shots from the same place you shot this with some fall colors on the far side just below the footbridge.

Sweet water flows - I like the textures you got with these shots.
