Watkins Glen, Angel Falls this last Sunday

As a rule of thumb, if I am seeing this type of lighting I stay home. In this case this was the planned middle of a trip to see kids and grand kids so we kept on going. The lighting and the picture turned out better than I anticipated and then this became the last picture of the trip. A bad weather forecast (rain, lightning, hail and tornadoes) and a pop up case of covid ended the trip. The remainder of the trip is rescheduled for October, fall color and grand kids :)

Glad you kept going to grab this one - very dramatic lighting on a place with some beautiful falls. This turned out quite well for the light that has kept you away. Bummer about the covid encounter - not a pleasant experience any time it happens. Looking forward to seeing your images of this place with fall colors.

Another Welsh Waterfall from last month. This is Pistil Rhaeadr, I have posted from here before. I was surprised that the water levels were low as it had been raining heavily for weeks. Ken

I love the first shot with the small venue but the second one blew me away. Fantastic venue and a great job with the processing.

Tueeulala (too-ee-oo-lala) Falls in Hetch Hetchy of Yosemite National Park

The hiking trail runs along the base of Tueeulala. Because of the massive snowmelt this year, this part of the trail has become a water crossing. The water was powerful, but the stones used for the trail were stable.
Glad you included a pronunciation guide for the name of these falls - I am pretty sure I would have otherwise thoroughly mangled it :) Beautiful drop with the falls in the first image and what looks like a refreshing rest spot along the trail for a hot day.

I asked a park ranger at the dam how to pronounce the name. I then turned to my father to help him pronounce it.

Been a long time since I visited Hetch Hetchy
The time is ripe to visit Hetch Hetchy again, Dan!
