Another Wednesday and another round of waterfalls.

My falls today are a scene from lower part of Merriman Falls along the South Shore road in the Lake Quinault area of Olympic National Park. This is a nice little set of falls just off the roadway a little way up the road from the Park Lodge.

Pile on with whatever you have showing falling water.

Bridal Veil Falls has a lot of interesting small scenes like this below the falls. Nice find. I have spent many hours shooting in this area just below the observation area.

I like this little scene and your choice for the shutter speed. I am always fascinated by the color of the water in your area compared to the Pacific NW. Most of our falls trend towards a bluish hue instead of the brownish tint yours have.

Tannin from the oak woods that this river flows through Alan. The soil here also has lots of peat. The Lake District rivers have a blue/ green tint with lots of slate in the area. Ken

Thanks Peter - its one of my favorite waterfalls to visit whenever I am in the Lake Quinault area on the Olympic Peninsula.
