Waterfall Wednesday 6/4/2025

My waterfall feature for today is a small venue along the South Shore Road at Lake Quinault on the Olympic Peninsula. These falls are fun to shoot with dozens of different ways to frame small scenes along the water's path to the bottom. I used to make a point of stopping to shoot at this location just about every time I went past the South Shore road on US 101.

It doesn't take a sign to make a nice looking waterfall - just water that hasn't been diverted to L.A. I like the little scene here.

Hard to go wrong with this iconic view. I like that you framed the falls with the foreground maples.

These falls are on Little Maui Creek near Coyote Wall on the Washington side of the gorge. A delightful hike goes up among several small falls and volcanic rock outcrops.

I need to visit this trail. I have driven past this area gobs of times but never stopped to hike there. Neat looking falls.
