Last week Michael (@ProCaliberTraveler) posted a shot of Sweet Creek Falls from a small viewpoint at the end of the trail that leads along the east bank of the creek. There is another viewing spot on the other side of the creek that is accessed from a trailhead farther up the road. It's pretty hard to get a good view the entire falls from the perch along the main trail which is barely visible in the upper left of the frame in this view. You have to lean out as far as you can from there to see the upper falls and you can't get a good view of this set of drop-offs. This is a two shot vertical panorama from the west side of the creek taken during a January visit in 2018.

Pile on with whatever you have depicting falling water.

Here's a different kind of shot at Latourell Falls in the Gorge. When you've shot all you came for and are about to leave, try some movement and see what you get.

I know this feeling well and especially at Latourell Falls since those of us in the nearby metro area visit the place often :) I like what you did with this one. Nice twist.

Thanks for posting the shot of Sweet Creek from the other side of the creek, Alan. This gives me even more reason to return!

After photographing Mt. Shasta on my road trip back to Bishop, I took a break from driving at Burney Falls. I had the falls to myself while it was snowing and there was plenty of water coming down. Not the best conditions for photography though.

Maybe not the best conditions for photography but you got a really nice takeaway from your roadtrip break. I like this take on these falls and they appear to be well charged with the amount of water flowing through.

I figured you might want to see the view from the west side. It's pretty obvious once you see these falls from the other side the little perch above the main trail isn't the best view of the main falls at all. There is another set of falls a bit farther up Sweet Creek road as well - Beaver Creek Falls where Beaver Creek joins up with Sweet Creek.

On my way back from Palouse, stopped by Palouse Falls hoping to catch from sunrise. The skies were bare, unfortunately and it was quite cold (about 35F) there. The morning light and the mist created an interesting mood to the falls.

The mist is a really interesting addition to the view of these falls - both above and below the falls. That's a lot of water coming over the cliff! Nice one.

These are all so beautiful.
Sadly I cannot contribute, as I live in the desert. :)
My definition for a waterfall is any scene that depicts water demonstrating obedience to gravity. It can be entirely surrounded by concrete or out in the wild. I grew up in Phoenix where feral water didn't exist while I lived down there :)
