Waterfall Wednesday 4/29/2026

My waterfall for this week is a winter view of Palisade Falls in the Columbia River Gorge. Everyone driving on I-84 through the Gorge passes by these falls located directly below the Crown Point Vista House but beyond a glimpse of them through the trees there are no good viewpoints of the falls from the ground. This particular shot was made using a Mavic 3 Pro drone with its 24mm Hasselblad camera in February 2025.

That's a really neat set of falls. Not sure if it matters whether they have a name or not when they look this nice.

Wow - that's a really nice long drop-off for the water draining this mountain basin. Neat series of falls. You could have a field day shooting small scenes from this viewpoint with a telephoto lens.

Nice - that's a higher flow rate than I have seen at those falls. I like this PoV of the scene - only workable at the early hour of the morning you favor for your visits.
