Time for more waterfalls :)

My starter falls for this morning are the very first set of falls you encounter after leaving the trailhead at Sweet Creek. I wish you could get below the falls and shoot upstream but you would need a chain mail suit to keep from being shredded by the blackberry thickets. Taken a few weeks ago with a bit of fall in the air (and on the ground).

Cascades from the Blackwater River, Northern Scotland. At first sight it looks like an ideal location with the almost flat smooth slabs of rock allowing good access and multiple locations until you stand on them and find that they are dangerously slippery even with ice spikes on my boots. Ken

Lovely image Alan. I went for a walk on Sunday and got into trouble in a Bramble ( Blackberry) thicket now I have a lovely down jacket with 3 long slashes so can only agree with you about the need for chain mail. Ken

Beautiful place Ken - I can see why they call it Blackwater. Sounds treacherous to shoot in cold weather.

These falls are in the North Fork Coeur d'Alene river drainage. Its a 4 mile dirt road to get to them. I have many images from here and there are two sets of falls.

The Upper Falls pour off at Gooseberry Falls with the North Shore drive bridge in the background. This is in Minnesota along the North Shore of Lake Superior.
Neat falls - I like the way the water goes up and over the rocks down in front.
