Waterfall Wednesday 1/28/2026

I always look forward to Wednesdays for another round of falling water so whether its small or big, tall or short, surrounded by desert, deep in the forest, or completely surrounded by concrete its fair game if there is falling water in the scene.

My falling water for today is a drone shot from the Columbia River Gorge with a set of falls named Mist Falls. I showed an image of these falls close up with a 70mm portrait mode closeup several weeks ago and this is a 28mm wider view of the overall scene in landscape orientation. These falls are just to the west of Wahkeena Falls and if I spun the drone around 90º to the left you would be looking at Wahkeena.

That rock face shows several small sets of falls just in this frame alone. I would make a lousy hiking companion if I came across a place like this and your goal was to get somewhere else in a hurry :) Very cool.
Don’t worry, Alan. I took this shot from a pullout on the paved road through the park! No hiking required.
