Welcome to another round of falling water.

My starter falls for today are along Panther Creek in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. This is just upstream from the primary falls on Panther Creek.

Thanks for starting this Alan, and a great starter. I have been up there a couple times and was never sure which were the main falls. The place I decided was the main falls was almost impossible to get down to a decent shooting location.

Nice falls even without a name.

The path to get down below Panther Creek Falls is down the road a bit from the main viewing platform. Not the most accessible path for older individuals wandering in solo with a lot of gear.

Skelwith Force in theLake District this morning. Water levels are very low owing to the recent lack of rain but this river flows out of a Lake and this keeps a reasonable amount flowing. Slightly precarious shooting position standing on wet moss covered rocks 15ft above a deep fast flowing river, I may be getting too old for this kind of thing. Ken

Beautiful set of falls Ken - I like the hints of moss around the water channel. I wish it weren't true but some of the more precarious positions I used to assume whilst shooting water features are best left to the younger generations anymore.

Viewed from Glacier Point, la. I don't know the name of this one.

Illilouette Fall is a 381-foot waterfall on the Illilouette Creek tributary of the Merced River

A recent visit (Jan. 2) to a new-to-me waterfall called Fairfield Falls in NC. I thought I would try a long exposure on this one (40 seconds). Two-image focus stack, used ND and polarizing filter.

This is the upper falls in Johnston Canyon in Banff during late winter where the falls are mostly frozen.

Neat looking falls Dan - doesn't look like very easy access to see the rest of them.

Really long exposures don't always work out for depicting waterfalls but this one sings. Nice work Stephen.

Wow - that looks seriously cold Jameel. Almost hard to believe that the water is still running in the river.
