War on a Yucca Plant

I was photographing the yucca blossoms after they opened and found an interesting fight going on. First the raids eat the nectar in the bulbs seams and the blossoms open and attract other little bugs that eat the aphids. Then the Lady bugs appear and eat the other bugs. The fist image shows a lone view of the plant covered with 'bugs' and the second image shows a close up and the virtual war in progress. Have fun checking this out!

Thanks Jim the macro lens allowed me to get in pretty close. I was amazed at all the activity and different critters on the yucca plant!

Hi Alan I did not see birds participating in this war, although I did see a crab spider grab a lady bug and moved to the back side of the plant so fast I did not have a chance to grab a photo.
