Vigeland Park

Vigeland sculpture park features the work of Gustav Vigeland and is a popular place to visit in Oslo. Of course, during the winter the fountains aren't running and you need to watch your step to avoid slipping on ice. And there was a lot of ice...

Here are some photos. Any thoughts are welcome.

1) The monolith is the centerpiece of the park

2) Looking from the monolith toward the fountain and the city

3) Looking closer at the fountain with the monolith in the background. Not having water made it easier to see the details.

4) One of the sculptures I particularly liked. Just so strange...

Some distinctly unique looking sculptures and #4 in particular. The dude looks like he is tossing the children off and kicking one away? The last one has one guy pummeling another one? Quite unusual.

Such interesting sculptures. That's a lot of them in there too, that must have taken a long time for him.

The sculptures on the bridge are fascinating, each one tells a story.
