uas accessory bag

this is the standard issue uas accessory bag we give out to the drone pilots in our state. some agencies or positions add a few extras. it's a hazard 4 bag with rails for molle system attachments on the front. we attach a k&f concepts tripod to the bag. the tripod is about waist high and, depending on how inventive you are, you can attach different makeshift holders for a computer, ipad, anemometer or even a landing pad, though that particular one scared me since it wasn't all that stable. this was a very gently used kit that was returned to us when the pilot left. we're getting it ready for the next pilot.

inside we have a bunch of cleaning supplies (top left small black case and 2 power banks (gray bags in the lower left). on the right side on the top row is the firehouse led beacon. the gray rectangle is a large bit set and screwdriver. 2x 128 gb cards. on the bottom row is the anemometer (black and orange) an electromagnetic radiation detector (black with blue button) that tells us if we're having takeoff interference from metal in the ground. the black case next to that is a card holder. the plastic bag holds a lanyard and gray cards. and the red and white box is a mini sd card reader. there's also a bunch of extra usb cords, though this bag is stripped of those.

What a super cool setup! It's neat to see what the drone pilots are carrying. I need to get an Anemometer!

Looks like a good bag for the job.

A bit smaller than the one I use from Lykus but I am carrying camera lenses along with my drone setup. I should add an anemometer to my kit.

Mine - It has a strap and leg pocket for a small tripod on one side and a zipper opening to the back for either a tablet or laptop. I carry a small Benro tripod with a detachable leg that can be used as a monopod. My camera is in a Think Tank holster I use with either a Think Tank belt or a shoulder strap.

the anemometer is pretty cheap. less than $30 on amazon. the power banks, extra cards and card readers and screwdriver are the most used item in the bag by all of the pilots. i don't think anyone's ever used the gray card or the cleaning supplies. the tripod is used by the guys who like to rig things, i haven't used mine. the electromagnetic radiation detectors used to be a thing with some of the older drones and the imu error, but it doesn't get much use anymore.

i'll have to take a photo of the inside of my work drone case. we use a hard case for the drones, they don't go in the backpack. i keep my preflight checklist, coa info for the airbase, controller, drone, cords, extra props and batteries in the case. some of the pilots have outfitted their case with a screen on the inside. but that makes them keep their drone case tethered to their vehicle for power and that isn't always the best place to fly.

Beth thank you

Shopping on Amazon right now. I was totally ignorant on portable anemometers. There should be one in my bag by tomorrow

it's a good tool to have in your kit. we use it so we can say that we did our due diligence regarding the weather when we have to fly in bad conditions. we have a few portable weather stations that we use, but they're not really worth the hassle of setting up.
