Two from McGee

McGee color lasted for quite some time, but it wasn't going to last for the moon phase that I was looking for. Second image is from this morning after the snow storm. The wind was killer. All comments welcome!

Quite the contrast. The moonlight shot is pretty cool but the atmospherics in the second one keep dragging my eyes back down to the morning shot. Doesn't look like this place would be comfortable with winter winds.

Awesome work Tim! Your moon phase might not have been the best, but you made it work really well. Both images are great and since one is from night and one is from day I think I like them both equally.

Tim, the 2nd one does it for me.

On a side note, is it me , or there is less foliage up in the canyon ? I have been going to the Eastern Sierra for the past several years, IIRC there were way more colors.

They weren't winter winds, but it was 20 degrees and strong winds kept blowing snow into my face. So winterish winds.
