I was up in Rocky Mountain National Park last week with my Grandson Caleb who is 8. The goal was to do some livestreaming for my YouTube channel and to capture the Milky Way. We drove up the Old Fall River Road towards the Alpine Visitor center. Besides being able to stop at some cool waterfalls along the road, my hope was to maybe find an alternative composition from along the road for the Milky Way.
I didn't find any, but settled on this composition with the Glacial Cirque that is next to the Visitor Center. Thankfully for as busy as that area gets during the day, at night it's a ghost town, so I didn't have too much to deal with in terms of stray headlights while photographing at night.
This one is from Twilight, just as the Milky Way is starting to show itself but the sky is still brighter and is still a very strong blue.
