Fun set of portraits and some interesting variants. The common snapping turtle looks best prepared to survive violent attacks which might say a lot about what life is like along the Ohio. Survival can become an issue when you are slow and tasty.

They may be slow and tasty but they all have adaptations for survival.

Great series of different turtles Eric. I think the last is a Red-eared Slider or Red-eared Terrapin, Trachemys scripta elegans rather than a Florida Cooter Turtle Pseudemys floridana
