A pleasant sunset scene overlooking the Columbia River bottomlands and the Tualatin Hills from last night. Two panels at 166mm.

Thanks Jameel - there was a lot of low altitude haze and thin clouds to temper the direct sunlight and offer some color. These weren't clear skies.Nice work controlling flares shooting straight into the sun.
Thanks Dave - as I mentioned to Jameel the sky on the horizon is actually somewhat hazy with some thin clouds filtering the sun and adding in the color.Amazing shot, Alan. You got the whole sun without a big blowout.
Thanks Beth - same here. By late summer we often get wildfire smoke and this same view would be blood red. Colorful for your sunset but nasty stuff to breathe.beautiful! i'll take a little bit hazy over this thick smoke from the canadian wildfires any day.
Thanks Jim - one of the hazards of stitching together panos of a sunset like this is getting two (or more) sun flares in the result. I just took a sequence last night that has 3 more notable flares in it. I'll try Generative Fill on that one and we will find out what it can do.Very cool Alan! I like the view here with that golden sun!
I see 2 sun flares at a quick glance, one in the ground on the left and one on the right. The left one is pretty minimal, but I would remove the one on the right. I wonder how naturally the Generative Fill in Photoshop would remove that flare and leave the background intact?
