Trout Lake...

This is my first post on this forum so I want to say Congrats to Jim and hello to everybody else, some who I already recognize and know from other forums I post in.
The image is of Trout Lake in Colorado from the fall of 2016 during the late light of the day and it is significant because while I new Jim for many years I never actually had the pleasure of meeting him until this trip so thought it only fitting as a first post. I'm looking forward to seeing the work posted here and being an active member of the community.
All comments are welcome regards,
Dean

Hey Dean!

Welcome aboard! It's really awesome to see you here too.

Yeah, that was a fun time to get together. If I remember, we just bumped into each other there as I saw Derek out there? Though I think I knew you were heading that way. Anyway, the memory can get a bit foggy....

This is a really cool shot. The bit of snow on the peaks to add contrast is wonderful, and of course that fall color is so awesome. The San Juan's are kind of my home away from home. I am making 4 trips a year at minimum out there, and I just got back from backpacking up into Ice Lakes Basin there.

I love the reflections here. I almost never manage to be present when the water is so calm in a body of water like this.

I would be tempted to scrub out the truck(?) on the bridge as I keep finding my eyes wandering to it.

Very nice indeed. The colour and reflections are beautiful as is the lighting in general. I love the light on the left hand side and the colour in the clouds reflected in the water with the echo of the clour also in the right hand mountains. Excellent work, Dean.
