Getting away from a fresh dump of snow and some serious shovelling seemed like a good idea. I am in Victoria, B.C. where it is warm and wonderful. I happened upon an Anna's Hummingbird looking for something to eat. Here are a few pictures.
This is the same bird with a slight twist of the head showing off the red feathers with the morning sun shining.
Another encounter where the hummer was feeding in a tree.
The first shot is the bird approaching the food and the second in a fraction of a second later when it is at the source.
