"Triangles"

This is from a trip to the Carmel area, about three years ago.

There was a photographer 'camped' just to camera right. So the rocks are crowding the right edge more than I would like; but sometimes you take what you can get.

I have been absent from the forum for a while. Humble apologies. Explanation: I do have a day job that has nothing to do with photography. I am a hobbyist. Or enthusiast? I have been dealing with an ailing parent and his healthcare issues for several months now. The issues remain and are getting worse. This situation has kept my weekends busy for some time. When I do have some down time, I find that I'm not in the mood to post or comment. I often just need some down time. I'm sure many of you can understand. But I do not want to put my "Founding Member" status in jeopardy, so I thought I would make a trip to the basement archives to find something to post and explain my absence. I will endeavor to post more often.

All comments are welcome.

A very calming scene. Nothing wrong with delving into your archives. It seems like it would be therapeutic - especially with scenes like this one.

This is a cool one Tex, I do like the triangles in this. Pretty nice!

Yeah, my heart goes out to you with your dealing with your parents now. It's never easy. I know in times of stressful situations the artistic energy can just be too much to generate.

But I am glad you dug this out of the archives, because yeah, your title was almost changed to "Used to be a Founding Member"... so I am glad I don't have to do that now.

Nice shot that truly conveys peace.

I was in the same boat with my dad a couple years ago and now am carefully watching/helping my mom as her confusion/dementia progresses. It's one of the toughest things in life to deal with since there often isn't any good outcome to look forward to. Even when I can't get out to shoot much just looking at my old shots like this one and remembering a great day outside helps sooth my aching heart.

First off, beautiful image here, I really like the colors, the mood the composition. Well done.

Second, I went through the same thing 25 years ago with my inlaws and 15 for my mother. In the next decade, my children will be faced with the same issues. I try to keep my health and my wifes help as good as possible to reduce the time of helplessness.
