Here is a small contribution. This is a nice spot in the Sawtooth Valley of Idaho.

And then a lovely trail in Hobo Cedar Grove, North Idaho:
Aaron, I really like the green—and autumn hills of Idaho in your first two images. I especially favor the different “layers” pictured in the first—very nice! The hillside composition in both landscapes are well composed. Well done. I also favor the last image of the trail in N Idaho—nice panoramic view. Very nice.

Forests are often viewed from grand vistas showing vast tracts of trees but in the Pacific NW the best views are scenes under the forest canopy where you are enveloped in it instead.

Alan, I like your perspective—shooting under the forest canopy, and beautiful images illustrating that viewpoint. One aspect I enjoy seeing is the different green tints present in each image. The moss covered trees in the Silver Falls and Sweet Creek images add interesting texture to each landscape—I especially favor the Silver Falls image’s composition emphasizing this “mossy” tree and my favorite! I also loved the Sweet Creek image—nice composition too. Thanks for sharing each of these forest images Alan.

Craig, thank you for sharing each of these forest landscapes—all are well composed and interesting viewpoints. I like your composition of “Fallen”, I know I would have walked past the fallen tree—and I’m glad you didn’t! “Seasonal Transition” is one of my favorite compositions you’ve shared today. Very nice! I also like the “Pastoral Peekaboo” with the two smaller evergreens centered—this works! I also like the autumn colors against the blue sky in “Off the Beaten Path”—very nice too. “Cabin in the Woods” (or “Seen Better Days”—your title is much better) has a quiet charm I like. The remaining horizontal cabin logs contrast well with the vertical trees in the background. I also favor “The Secret Spot” image with the autumn trees contrasting nicely with the snowy evergreens. A beautiful winter scene and thanks for sharing a visual of this secret spot! “Winter’s Onset” is one of my favorite images from your image today. I love the composition with the centered mountain and the autumn colors. Very nice!

Jameel, thank you for sharing these gorgeous forest images! I love the first image, a winter wonderland! It’s always nice to see blue shadows on the snow cast by the trees. Very nice! And I love the redwood composition, framing similar sized trunks creating a nice “abstract.” I also favor the third image with the overlapping autumn colors as well. Perhaps my favorite is the beautiful and colorful Utah fall image—love the wide angle composition, a truly special image. And again thank you for sharing each of these Jameel!

Larry, I really like the “forest” task images you shared—but unfortunately I am able to see only the last two. The other four images are not visible but only a small blue square with a question mark within the square. I do love the Butchart Gardens image, my favorite but the Brainard Lake is also a very nice image as well. I know other of your posts recently I have not been able to see either.

Sorry, Larry I still am unable to see them. It’s weird some members can see them though, by way of comments on other posts you’ve posted. Before I’ve tried my Mac Studio computer, iPad and iPhon to see if it was on my end, but with the same result—blue square with a ? mark. Sorry.

I don’t know what the problem is but I will repost the images tomorrow from my laptop. It’s a real mystery, all the images display on my iPhone, 2 iMacs and my MacBook Pro.

OK John I tried one more time I hope this time it work on your system
