They look darn good to me DougI know slightly more than nothing about creating good B&W photographs. Any I have are conversions from color images. Here are three of my attempts.

Wonderful black and white images Jeffrey. The luminosity and contrasts in your images is about to make me rethink my processing. KenI love B&W and create monochrome images regularly. For one of my gallery shows I set up one half of the room all BW. I should do a full BW show sometime...
A few favs.

Thank you kindly Ken. I feel that way often about other people's work I see! It's a good thing.Wonderful black and white images Jeffrey. The luminosity and contrasts in your images is about to make me rethink my processing. Ken
Jeffrey, I use the "sharp intake of breath" method of judging images. Yours do that. Of course after one has processed and looked at ones own images for a while this criterium fails as it is almost impossible to look at a well known image and get that "Oh!" feeling. KenThank you kindly Ken. I feel that way often about other people's work I see! It's a good thing.
thank you so much for your kind comment.Terrific contrast. Brilliant.
