I have never seen a color vacuum before but I have seen the results - always happens when I am anticipating a nice coastal sunset and marine layer clouds wipe out my color show 😁

Alan, thank you for sharing these exceptional black and white images–– I especially favor the old Lewis Lodge and the old barn in Palouse images––really, really nice! And the image from the old Gunsmoke TV show is a beautiful image and takes me back to the days of yesteryear!

Ken, a very beautiful series of images you’ve shared (thank you!) and a nice variety as well. I absolutely love your first image—my favorite. Also snow featured in black and white images is always a welcome sight as in your Borrowdale landscape. The castle stalker image is another beautiful image with the nice reflection of castle and sky.

Here are a few from my archive! ;)

Winter City Scape

Great Sand Dunes

Red Rocks in Winter

Late Afternoon in Utah

Fall Cottonwood (B&W simulating Infared)
Larry, nice snow accumulation on the parked cars in your first image—looks beautiful on the trees! Love all your images, especially the Great Sand Dunes landscape—my favorite with its perfect composition and tonal gradations. I also like your Cottonwood tree and the Utah afternoon scene—very nice! Thank you for sharing of these great images too.

Jameel, excellent monochromes! It’s nice to see these familiar parks edited in black & white—I especially favor the Grand Canyon and Bryce images! The Wenatchee IR edit is also very interesting as well. Thank you for sharing each of these beautiful landscapes.

I love B&W and create monochrome images regularly. For one of my gallery shows I set up one half of the room all BW. I should do a full BW show sometime...
A few favs.

Wow! Jeffrey, very beautiful monochromes you’ve created—and shared (thank you!). Yes, an all black and white showing would yield all positive responses I’m sure! My personal favorites would be the 3rd, 4th, and 6th…at the moment. All the images are well composed and edited. Again, thank you for sharing!

Jordan, very beautiful B&W landscapes you’ve shared—I especially love your last image, the foreground is so intriguing and creates a very dramatic image. Nice! Another favorite is the waterfall. The second image’s composition is noteworthy—excellent placement of the distant structure on the far bank! Perfect! Thank you for sharing all these images!
