Lots of opportunities for smoke days with this topic. I just happen to have one lined up for this from a day when I was riding in your truck as a hint for where to look in your stash :)
thanks Alan I recall that day but could not find images In my gallery

My nemesis for fall trips to interesting places has been wildfire smoke from other places obliterating the views and generally muting the colors I went to see. I usually make an effort to mitigate the smoke in the scenes like this but for this Task thread I left them as is.

First up is the Mt. Rainier area with a view from the trails around Paradise Lodge:

Followed by Glacier National Park. This is the view from the north shore of Swiftcurrent Lake:

And finally one from a trip to the Tetons where I met up with Ben, Jim and Rick for some autumn shooting. We had one morning where a lot of smoke blew up from somewhere south of us. I might have been the only one who bothered to get a camera out at this stop.

Alan, excellent choices, I absolutely love the first image with such subtle beauty. The faded Tetons in the background certainly add to this composition of your last image––very nice!
