Thursday’s Task

Lovely desert images and an interesting story as well. I’ve learned much from FocalWorld members in these threads on a variety of subjects. The composition of the Dante’s View image is stunning—very nice. The Mesquite Flats Dunes image’s juxtaposition of warm and cool colors is beautiful. The colors of the Anza Borrego capture is especially nice as well. I hope your students were as appreciative of your beautiful images as we are!
Thanks for your kind remarks, John.

Like others here, I have many desert shots since it's one of my favorite environs. Tried to find some different ones, so here goes.

I liked this progression from mountains & glaciers to boulders and sand.

While sneaking away from the group to find a place to pee, I found this amazing little feature.

Monika, beautiful images especially the second landscape! I love everything about this image––as you said above, the progression of boulders > sand > glaciers and mountains > sky, it has it all! Thank you for sharing. I like first one with the errant "weed" in the center of this nice composition. The last image is very interesting––like the curve!
