Thursday’s Task

This image is focus stacked and exposure blended. No hyperfocal shooting will give sharp images from less than 3ft to more than 300ft. There was an app that combined, Mp of sensor, sensor size, focal length, aperture, min and max distance to be sharp to give you the focusing distance and aperture. It was a paid app and I never purchased it but it sounded interesting. I used to be able to calculate these kind of things but have now forgotten most of the maths and most importantly, life is too short. KenView attachment 47960
Ken, another gorgeous image—thanks for the extra addition to the Thursday’s Task this week. Per your post above, I purchased an app, PhotoPills, several years ago but don’t use it in the field as often as I should—it provides hyperfocal tables and DOF tables (based on one’s specific camera), as well as golden hour, blue hour, etc. for a specific location.

Unlike you, I never possessed the math skills to even attempt to perform these calculations—I have to use an app!
