The Wind River Range in Wyoming, and specifically Sqauretop Mountain. What an awesome place to explore and photograph.

This is from late Summer, early fall. I was there to do Milky Way timelapses, but also to just explore. It was my first time there, but it for sure won't be my last.

Sometimes, some places, don't need nuclear sunrises or sunsets, they are so awesome by themselves it seems like any time of day (or night) makes for a very appealing image.

Ben and I explored the Pinnacle Butte area across and back up Hwy 26 from the Green River, Square Top Mountain area. I had mistakenly labeled my Flickr images as the Wind River Range. In reality, Pinnacle Butte is in the Absaroka Range. Doing some googling of this area inspired by your image, I discovered my mistake. Thanks, Jim.

Yeah, I am not even sure how far back in one can drive now, as it was I think about a 10 mile dirt/gravel road to get back in there. It's probably snowmobile time back in there.

Hmmm... yeah, checking on the brightness, I think you are correct, my computer is still in game mode, so the display is brighter compared to my processing mode. Ugh... but glad you caught it.

It's amazing though just how large of an area the Wind River Range is, so it would be easy to just assume it's all part of it.

It's a fun area Jameel. You might need to take the long way home from one of your visits to Salt Lake City, and swing over to Wind River Range.
