More - I feel like I can see more detail in the second image both for the stars as well as the features of the nebula.
I like more stars as well Ed. I feel like you crunched the blacks a bit too much in #1. Often we crunch the blacks to bring out more contrast in our object, but in this case, besides less stars I think you lost some detail in the Veil itself.

Hard to say, I like the extra contrast of the 1st as the main nebulosity pops out more, but definitely more fain details in the 2nd one. Lovely framing and execution of the mosaic, really makes the area more interesting to see more of the entire SNR in the frame like this.
