The Monsoon Thunderstorms are Finally Here.

This is looking out my back door just a few minutes ago. This was lucky. I used the Jim Fox method of taking one long exposure after another and finally caught one. All I needed was a better ground setting like Bob's Sedona picture.

I agree with the heat concept but without it we have no monsoon thunderstorms..

That's funny, I discovered the long exposure method too last summer! So much easier than what I was doing before, which I'm now embarrassed to even share in light of the new technique

Thank you, Amy. Speaking of electricity in the air, I was checking frequently to see if my hair was standing up which is a sign that you are going to be a lightning target.
