The Miracle Moon

This was a bit of a miracle as it's been cloudy and rainy. But last night about 9pm the clouds parted slightly. It didn't clear completely, but I set the Seestar to it, I watched and watched The clouds would bounce between cloudy to almost clear, and I kept watching with my finger on the shutter button finally for about 2 seconds the moon completely cleared of clouds, I got 1 or maybe 2 shots of it and then the clouds went back to floating over the surface. Whew!!!

All comments are welcome,

Interesting to think of the moon with different colors. from our perspective here it only looks mostly white as all we see is a reflection, but seeing this I can only imagine with all the different elements on the moon it would certainly have different hues in it. Thanks for making me think!

Thanks so much Roger, and thanks so much for thinking about it. :)

The reflection of the sun on the moons surface to wipes out any colors we would see by our naked eye. We are so used to seeing the moon as very bright in the sky, so it can be a little adjustment to see it as the Mineral Moon. But all of the colors in this do actually exist, I didn't add any colors, I simply carefully boosted the saturation. The trick is not to go overboard, but to do like a 30% saturation, then save it. Then take the saved image and do another 30% saturation boost. Etc for 3 or 4 times. That way the colors seem to be more natural, then if you just pushes the saturation by 80% to pull the color out.
