The Lion Nebula SH2-132

Here is my version of SH2-132. This is only my second mosaic. Panel A to the left and Panel B to the right. After cropping the image is 5000px wide. The Lion Nebula is located in the Cepheus constellation. Here some see a lion in this celestial cloud with the head to the upper left and the body, legs, and tail extending to the right. An obscuring dark lane of dust and gas is located in the "head of the lion" and appears to form the lion's facial features.

This is a neat result. I can make out the lion quite clearly in your rendering of the nebula. Beautiful.

This is so cool Andy! Love it. I can make out the Lion too.

One thing I like about this one is it reminds me of the Trifid Nebula with the Red/Blue next to each other, and the Trifid is one of my favorites.

I also like the red/blue that shows. I wonder if there is a listing or catalog of deep-sky images that tend to be like the Trifid in appearance!

Great work - this is such an amazing target! I shot with approximately the same focal length and could not quite get everything in - your mosaic works well here and appears pretty seamless on my monitor at least. This remains one of my favorite results from my own work and this one here is exceptional - very good result for what I am assuming is a OSC camera?
