The Horsehead in Hydrogen Alpha

Barnard 33 more commonly known as the Horsehead Nebula is a small dark nebula in the constellation Orion.
This target was shot as a 2-panel mosaic thru a Ha filter.
15x600s Ha per panel @-10C

So cool Carlos. You have brought new life into the Horsehead. I am thinking I need to try a monochrome version too. It won't have all of your great detail since I am using a DSLR, but maybe it will look interesting.

I am really enjoying the Ha images since these are all about texture and details. This one is no exception. Very nicely done.

Thanks Jim ! Sometimes plain monochrome does the job best 😊

Nice result on this, always love the intricate detail that the Hα filter brings out on objects like this. Very nice mosaic technique too - I hope I can achieve seamless results like this when I try my first one.
