The Graveyard - IC63

Most people call IC63 The Ghost for it's central figure that looks like when we used to put a sheet over us and pretend we were ghosts as kids. But once I rotated this from how I captured it, it actually looks more like a Graveyard with many Ghosts rising from it. How many ghosts do you see?

The Bright blue object is the star Navi, I left it in with the crop as I saw it as the moon in my imagination of the graveyard. It's a full moon, and the ghosts are rising! :)

I captured this Tuesday night, out in the Mojave Desert on my way back from Colorado to California. It was such a cool clear and dark sky!

I processed this as a color image straight out of my camera. I didn't apply any of the Narrowband techniques as I really liked how it looked in normal OSC color. Though I do have thoughts of reprocessing this as a Narrowband image later.

That is simply fantastic - it will be fun to compare to the narrowband processing version later but the bar is high, not sure you will top this one. I continue to see lots of progress on your post processing - this is a great job with just the right mix of faint detail, nice colors and a realistic looking background level. One of your best so far IMHO.

Thank you Mike for your high praise. I do agree that this is one of the best I have captured. I got a real sense of pride looking at the finished image.
