Thanks Michael - I get good layering compositions when I keep my drone down to around 100' above the ground as this hides a lot of the houses with the treetops and the winter atmospherics do the rest for the layering effect. The 166mm telephoto lens makes it feel like a more intimate scene than it really is with Mt. Hood 50 miles away.

Thanks! I have found a spot just out over the street near the corner of my property where I get two of the taller trees in the area to flank Mt. Hood at around 100' altitude as you see above. With the right atmospherics like I got on this particular morning its a neat effect when I use the 166mm lens.

Thanks John - As I look back through my archive I seem to getting my best sunrises during the month of January up here. Just the right colors and atmospherics.

Thanks Jameel - it may look like the long exposure but that's a bit of an illusion as the actual shutter speed is 1/200s and there was a storm front moving in from the west.
