Test Shot

3rd Milky Way shot of my photographic career, with at least a year in between each. But this time there was no messing around, I new exactly the settings I needed, set up was quick and easy. This is just a test shot a couple of miles from my house, the foreground wasn't too interesting but I was pleased with the way it came out regardless. I'm very excited to get out and do much more MW shots now that I don't have to question what I'm doing. (100% cloud cover for the next few nights 😭).

My 2nd MW shot was from the end of last summer with @JimFox at Factory Butte.

Like it Amy, so this is an IR image of the Milky Way? I prefer the scene in the second, but the sky is much better in the first image.

No, not really an IR image. It's Full Spectrum without any filter, which yields all light ways and is actually quite common in Night and Astrophotography. But I am going to attempt doing a IR shot of the Milky Way with a drop in filter soon, actually I intend on experimenting with all the filters. Fun for all ages ☺

Wow Amy!!! Awesome work!

Love your images here, and it was fun when we got together last year at Factory Butte!

I love the detail and color from the full spectrum!

Way to go!!!
