I met up with Joe Kayne for a couple of days of photography in the Monument Valley area. This is my favorite of the trip.

Thank you, Alan. There were a number of possibilities, but I thought this was the best.I like how you used the arch for a frame to the distant buttes. Beautiful imaging.
Thank you so much, Jameel.Excellent composition Doug.
Thanks, Jim. It was a great trip. I hadn't seen Joe in a couple of years.Awesome framing Doug! I really like it.
It sounds like it was a great trip!
Thanks so much, Ben.Beautiful result Doug i love I love the composition
Thanks for your kind comments, Beth. It was very popular when it appeared on the cover of "Natures America" by David Muench. But for some reason they now get very few photographers there according to our guide.this looks like some otherworldly looking structure. very cool image.
Sorry I am so late in getting back to you, Monika. The guide was Will Cowboy. I kid you not. He was Joe's guide for Hunts Mesa, so Joe asked him to guide us to the Teardrop Arch. He was very interesting to talk with.Ah, there's a reason it's a classic shot! Who was the guide you went there with?
Thanks, Joe. I miss seeing you more often for our annual trips. It sucks getting old.Not only is the composition nice, the light is awesome! Good seeing u!
