We had some incredible clouds at sunset yesterday and the sun just managed an appearance before it disappeared below the horizon. Felt rather fortunate to have captured this panoramic image without the heavens opening up.

Beautiful image Terry. I love the light on the vegetation at the left and the great sky.
Thanks for that Ben. Felt it all come together when the sun put in an appearance.
Great sunset - like Ben said the low light on the scene in the left side balances the frame nicely.
Thanks for that Alan. Just out of interest the tower in the left of the image is used for watching the newly hatched turtles making their way to the sea. Would love to be here and witness that.

I love it when the sun does that Terry! You can look at the clouds and see the break along the horizon and hope that the sun will pop through there without any other clouds getting in the way. Despite the hope, there is always a moment of joy when it actually happens! Excellent work here, I really like this.

And that would be super cool to be able to capture newly hatched turtles with a sunset too. :)

Thanks for that Jim. Know what you mean about a moment of joy when it all comes together.

That’s a nice image Terry. Often the reverse happens - a promising sunset or sunrise doesn’t materialize because of clouds obscuring the sun. It’s a moment of joy when everything comes together to witness it.

Thanks for that Jameel. We had been camped by that observation tower for two days hoping to use it with an image.
