Sunset Peeks In

From last week in Pismo Beach, California. It had been raining and stormy, with the sun making a last ditch effort to peek in. This is the Pismo Beach coastline, there are hotels hugging most of the coastline as you can see to the right.

Nice to get a bit of color at the end of the light.

Probably not a good beach area for star photography with that much architectural light. Works fine for this light.

Very cool colors in this one, Jim. The greens and yellows are so nice. Pismo beach looks lot different than what i remember...its been years though.

Actually I think it could be cool for night photography. A couple of months ago while I was there I was looking at Milky Way positions and I think it could line up over the pier during the summer. So I want to try that.

While there are buildings they don’t seem to spread much light, everything is pretty dimly lit.

Thanks Terry. It was getting pretty dark so this was a 6 sec exposure if I recall.
