Sunset in the Adobes + Edit

Hey Amy, the edit looks nice! The extra detail is really nice to see and helps the viewer to place the shot. But as Ben mentioned I think both work, and that can often be the case. There is a certain mystery about your original that's appealing I think. But then the extra detail in the edit I think is great too.

We might have to flip a coin on these?

While I agree, I think my heart is still with the first one...and this is just my option, but my eye is attracted to the lower section of the clouds, which to me is the meat of the image and I like the idea of mystery.

For sure, and as an artist you should feel drawn to the photo.

With this one, I think many of us as we process will do multiple versions to make sure. I know I will often be drawn to a certain look as I process a shot, but my detailed side of the brain will often say but what if... And so I will sometimes darken, brighten, add or subtract saturation to areas that my brain my be throwing up doubts at. Then I will sit back and choose between the two, and most often I stick with my original plan, but it's nice to be able to get rid of that nagging doubt since I was able to see both version.

Anyway… that's what I do sometimes....
