Hi yall, I am going through some of the old photos I took a few years ago & come to a set of pictures: Sunset at Trona Pinnacles. This is one of those scenes that makes the washboard drive worth it. As the light faded, the sky lit up in soft pinks and magentas that spilled across the wispy clouds and settled over the ridge in deep violet.
Down on the desert floor, the last warm light caught the tufa spires, so they glowed like embers against the cool shadows. The winding dirt tracks pull the eye through the frame toward the mountains beyond.
I've been chasing this kind of color for a while, and this evening delivered. This is a 9 photo stitch pano, would love to hear what you think, and if you've shot here, I'd enjoy seeing your take on the pinnacles.
