Part of sunrise or sunset is the phenomenon known as Earth's shadow which occurs just before sunrise or after sunset. It appears during twilight, in the west before sunrise and the east after sunset. The shadow itself is blue and the sky just above it is pink as seen in the image below of Zabriskie Point in Death Valley National Park. If you have such an image, please post it and if not a sunrise or sunset image will be perfectly fine.

Hi Alan. These photos give me a feeling of infinite distance enhanced by the still, soft sky .. the foreground is realistic, earthy and balances the overall composition well with the clear sky .. again, nicely done.
