Sunrise Silhouettes

Nice colors in the sky and reflected on the wet sand. A bit more shadow recovery might make this better esp. in the large stack.
Thanks Jameel - I spent some time trying to see what I could recover from the shadows on that sea stack but there were simply no details to pull out even I ran it through PureRAW. This was some of the first light of the day and it was still quite dark. The image is brighter than the visible light was. I used to wander down to the beach in the dark on days when I thought I might get good sunrise conditions.

That's my favorite sea stack from Harris Beach SP. You have to be happy with the color display from that morning!
Thanks Michael - wintertime in between storms is the best time of year for sunrises down there. Added bonus is the sun angle during the winter months. Summertime sun angle is way too far north for worthwhile sunrise colors down there.

So cool Alan! You got some sunrise colors! It's so easy to get skunked at the beach up there with the marine layer, but this one is awesome!
Thanks Jim - mid winter (January in this case) in between storms is the best timing for a lack of marine layer days. The storm track is active enough to scour out those low clouds that cling to the coastline for the rest of the year.
