Absolutely stunning image Jim. The 115 million year old Seven Sisters are shinning bright too.
Ha ha, thanks Dave! And of course only you would bring Skyrim into this.Love this ! I first experienced this playing the game skyrim believe it or not... then I realized how amazing these must look in REAL life... lol. Great job.
Thank you very much Mike! I do have more that I will get it, it was a bit hard to pick a first one to process, I literally closed my eyes and pointed...Jim,
I have seen a lot of aurora images, but this one is truly special! Getting both the red and the green emissions in one frame is striking, and your impeccable eye for getting good foreground interest has done the rest required to make this a fantastic capture! I am sure the hardest part was picking a favorite from the stuff you ended up with. Having said that I think it will be hard to top this result! I look forward to a few more though, as the way the aurora changes around quickly no 2 images are ever really the same. Really great work.
...'By the power not actually vested in me I now pronounce this Featured Phot of the Week!!!!!' (since we all know you are not going to do that yourself). very worthy though I would say.

I was very fortunate Kyle! Capturing an aurora has long been on my list, and to be that far north and then to hear about the aurora forecast as it was about to happen rather then getting the notice the day after it happened was huge! And of course to have the skies open up like this for a few hours to let the aurora throw was also so awesome.Fabulous photo Jim! As others have said, you pulled everything together so nicely. Congrats!
Thanks so much Bob! I hope you get one soon, maybe this winter? I hope to get back and catch it again too. This is spectacular Jim! It's a bucket list shot for me some day. Beautiful captured!
Thanks so much Joe! I agree, it was worth the driving!I love this Image Jim! It was well worth all the work to get it!!!!
Thanks so much Jim! I really appreciate that.Over the top night image that has it all - stars, aurora, and a great landscape composition. Another Jim Fox masterpiece.
Thanks Alisa. I like the other, but overall I like this one better too.I think this is my favorite over the other one! this is just beautiful!
