Before I found the Bald Eagles not too far from my daughters house in Northern Colorado, I found this large field with 20 or 30 horses in it. I made a u-turn to take some photos. I again wanted to work the Tamron 50-400mm and see how well it worked.
The background was not that great with quite a number of buildings along the horizon, and most of the horses seemed to have their tails to me. I was going to do a 50mm and then a 400mm image, but this horse which was the closest was really too close and the other horses were too far away. So I grabbed a few images of this guy and then got in and got going.
The first image was shot at 72mm, the next two are 100% crops with no sharpening applied. To me, this lens looks super sharp!
