This is a video I captured at Soda Dam in Jemenez Springs, New Mexico a month or so ago. I have some more photos I will have to add when I get a chance.

Please Subscribe to my channel, and Tell all of your friends to subscribe. I have been stuck at around 743 subscribers for like 6 months, I can't get over the hump it seems.

Thanks,

Jim

This looks a very rugged place, time for some adventure.

That area has a lot of geothermal activity and not far from the Valles Caldera that blew 15million years ago. The consensus is that it's dormant, but the data doesn't support that. I use to ride the 4 and some of the forest roads in the Jemez on both my dirt and street bikes when I lived there.
Beautiful part of the southwest.

Thank you Sonny. Yeah, I have thought about doing a video of the Valles Caldera, but in the times I have driven past there, nothing really jumped out at me. For the most part it's just a huge open meadow between some peaks.

You're right it's a tough place to shoot. I've seen the elk herds down in the meadow, but have never been close enough to them to capture something memorable. Best I have done so far is this image.

I really like how you worked that! This is by far better than anything I have gotten when I stopped at the overlook while driving by.

Thank you! It was so cold that evening and I had my grandson making snow angels behind me. LOL
