Jim, your milkyway shot is always so colorful, love the night clouds, it really adds a sense of depth.I captured this last week up in the Snowy Range mountains in Wyoming. This is an observation deck at the Libby Flats Observation Area.

Thanks Peter! Yes, that's the Milky Way. This was early in the night, a little over an hour after sunset. So probably about 8pm.Very nice photo, Jim... the light is evenly distributed throughout the image, I think it's the Milky Way (?) What time did you take this photo? Good visibility..
Thanks so much Jeffrey, that's greatly appreciated.I'm generally not a MW fan, but there are numerous elements here that work well together. Nice, Jim!
When I saw it, I walked around it and saw I would only get the Milky Way for a short bit because of the angle. But it's neat in that the other end swings into the image later in the morning. I plan on going back next year, earlier in the MW season so I can get the MW arching over the little outlook.Nice foreground for this MW image.
Thanks so much Alan!Nice combination of elements for this one - I like the result.
I appreciate that Oliver, your compliment means a lot. I really enjoy capturing the Night Sky, especially the MW.Jim, your milkyway shot is always so colorful, love the night clouds, it really adds a sense of depth.

Ha ha, thanks Monika!Ah, you're hooked on the Snowies now, Jim!
