I captured this last week up in the Snowy Range mountains in Wyoming. This is an observation deck at the Libby Flats Observation Area.

Very nice photo, Jim... the light is evenly distributed throughout the image, I think it's the Milky Way (?) What time did you take this photo? Good visibility..

Jim, your milkyway shot is always so colorful, love the night clouds, it really adds a sense of depth.

Thanks Peter! Yes, that's the Milky Way. This was early in the night, a little over an hour after sunset. So probably about 8pm.

When I saw it, I walked around it and saw I would only get the Milky Way for a short bit because of the angle. But it's neat in that the other end swings into the image later in the morning. I plan on going back next year, earlier in the MW season so I can get the MW arching over the little outlook.
