Beautiful atmospherics in both of these. I really like the first one with the slightly more interesting foreground. The second image feels like it has just a bit too much dark area at the bottom.
Wow Amy! Way to work that weather!!!
I like both of these a lot. Really sweet photos.
On #1, can I make a suggestion? I would think it could be stronger if you cropped a bit off the top to lose the bright cloud along the upper right. I would crop some of it off and then clone out the rest of that cloud to leave a little head space above those 2 smaller clouds floating in the middle. I think those 2 little lit up clouds are a really strong element, so by losing that bright cloud in the upper right it allows the eye to focus on those 2 clouds and not get pulled away up into that corner.
#1 is lovely and I was just about to ask you to look at cropping and cloning the bright clouds at the top but Jim has beaten me to it. Ken
Great captures Amy; love those conditions.
Hope to catch up Mem weekend.

Thanks all! Good idea Jim, I think those changes you suggested will enhance #1. I'll also try B&W versions.Great captures. Agree with Jim's comments, I might also take some of the bottom off and experiment with B&W conversions.
Wow! Nice work Amy.Took these this afternoon looking west toward the Adirondacks. Planning on going there Memorial Day weekendC&C welcome.
