Saturn with 3 moons

I finally had a very good night for shooting the planets. I was ready to give up on my planetary imaging since moving to Oregon from florida over two years ago. This was taken with the Celestron 9.25 Edge with a 2.5 Powermate and the ASI 224 camera. I stacked 20% of 2000 frames in Autostakkert, sharpened in Registax and final processing in Photoshop. The 3 moon are from left to right are Dione,Mimas and Tethys

Neat image. Take advantage of night views like this while you can. The rainy season is about to get underway.

Hey Chuck, I am so glad that you finally got a chance to do some planetary imaging! I know I miss how you regularly were able to capture planets while in Florida, so this one is great to see.

And it's cool seeing the rings on edge like this. There were so many articles talking about how the ring was going to disappear, but it didn't actually disappear, it just turned thin since it's on edge.

Thanks Jim, I'll keep trying to get the best shot I can. I'm hopiung to get some more deep sky images before the rains come.
